Arum speaks about digital transformation strategies at MedaWeek 2021

The 19th of November, our Marketing & Communications Director, Elodie Casolà, was invited to speak as part of a panel of experts at the Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders (MedaWeek) 2021, delving particularly into digital transformation strategies in Arum projects.

The Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders was in its 15th edition this year, and is an iconic event organized annually by the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce (ASCAME), together with the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services and Navigation, and with the collaboration of prominent Euro-Mediterranean organizations. It is a meeting point for discussing the interests of the private sector and the socio-economic development of the Mediterranean countries, and always enjoys the participation of reps from governments, corporations, multilateral organizations, and companies working in the area and beyond.

Among the hot topics for discussion this year were green and renewable energy practices, social economy, female entrepreneurship, digital strategy, and Mediterranean industries that have been hit hard by the pandemic, including of course the Hotel, Hospitality, and Cruise sectors.

Within MedaWeek, Casolà spoke at the Mediterranean Hotels & Hospitality Forum, which has been running for over 4 years. Discussed was how to build a more resilient Mediterranean hospitality sector, and the nature of new hospitality models, and in both of these areas Casolà shared Arum Group’s perspective on the importance of digital transformation strategies.

Digital transformation strategies are a fundamental part of Arum Group’s real estate innovation ecosystem, and have been deployed to great effect in a number of our projects, particularly since the beginning of the pandemic. What began, in some of our projects, as an obligatory strategy for survival in 2020 has been revealed as a great opportunity, and one that has advanced our projects digitally far more than we would have with a normal calendar. The great leaps forward have not only resulted in far more modern and streamlined marketing and sales processes, but have fundamentally altered our approach to digital and other marketing strategies.
