A secluded natural leisure resort near Tarragona

The Med Cambrils project is designed around the natural enclave of Parc Samà, which with its tranquil lake and unique architectural elements is itself a visitor attraction. Its lush gardens were designed by Fontseré, the landscape artist responsible for the Ciutadella Park in Barcelona, and today house several species of tropical birds.

The resort will include 27 holes of golf, a sizeable tennis and swimming complex, a new hotel with tourism apartments, and a varied real estate offer comprising flats, semi-detached homes and custom villas. Located only 3 km from the coastline, Med Cambrils will also be within easy access of the seaside highway and beaches.

Med Cambrils is located in an ideal area and with over 300,000 people living in the zone and the AVE connecting directly to Tarragona, the projected visitor numbers are quite promising.

Leisure resort management and master and urban planning

From a tourism perspective, Med Cambrils is located in an ideal area. Not only is it very close to consolidated tourism destinations such as Salou, Cambrils and Port Aventura, but it is also proximal to Tarragona, the second most populous metropolitan area in Catalonia. With over 300,000 people living in the zone and the AVE connecting directly to Tarragona, the projected visitor numbers are quite promising.

Thus far Arum has completed the entitlement, land planning and masterplanning phases of the project, as well as the urban planning and infrastructure planning and design. A number of important development hurdles have been cleared, particularly regarding the logistics of providing irrigation, electricity and an adequate water supply, and Arum looks forward to the next phase of this exciting resort management project.
